Proud Moment for Astaranga as Meritorious Student Pratyush Excels

Secures 3rd Rank in Odisha in JEE (Advanced)

Kakatpur, 28/6: In this year’s JEE (Advanced) or IIT entrance examination, Pratyush Kumar Swain, son of Prashant Kumar Swain and Rashmiprabha Swain of Asana village under Astaranga block in Puri district, has brought great pride to the region. He secured an impressive All India Rank (AIR) of 439 and has been selected to pursue studies at an IIT.

This year, over 2.2 lakh students appeared for the JEE (Advanced) across India, with around 12,000 candidates from Odisha. Among them, Pratyush secured the third rank in Odisha. He was a student at DAV, Unit-8 College.

Following the announcement of the JEE results, Pratyush expressed his happiness, and a wave of joy swept through his village Asana and the entire Astaranga region. Coming from a middle-class family, his achievement of securing admission into an IIT is a significant milestone.

Pratyush credited his success to the blessings and encouragement of his parents, grandparents, entire family, and teachers, without whom, he said, this accomplishment would not have been possible.
