Roof Collapses at Pandit Gopabandhu Das’s School – Student Narrowly Escapes Major Accident
Satyabadi High School, established by the legendary Panchasakha (Five Friends) of Satyabadi and known across India as a historic educational institution, witnessed a frightening incident today. In the academic year 2021–22, the school was included under the state government’s 5T initiative, and a renovation project worth ₹45 lakhs was carried out. However, according to allegations, the construction work was of extremely poor quality. Within just three months, the plaster from the school roof has fallen twice — injuring a school clerk during the earlier incident. Today, plaster from the ceiling fell on a student during class.
According to reports, the incident occurred around 10 AM, right after the morning prayer, while students were seated inside the laboratory room. Thankfully, the student escaped serious injury, but the situation sparked panic.
Following the incident, students expressed strong dissatisfaction and said that studying in a 5T-certified school like Satyabadi High School has now become hazardous. Now all eyes are on the local administration to see what action will be taken in response to this alarming situation.
