Visit of Chief Administrative Secretary and Higher Education Secretary to Satyabadi
Satyabadi: Chief Administrative Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena and Higher Education Secretary Arvind Agrawal visited Satyabadi today. They inspected the ongoing construction work of the Odia University and reviewed its progress. On this occasion, they also planted Baula trees on the university campus.
They visited the Odia University’s temporary office located on the premises of the Sakhigopal Panthashala. Teaching activities will be conducted in the Panthashala campus. Later, they also visited Utkalmani Gopabandhu Memorial College and inspected the college hostel, which will serve as the temporary hostel for Odia University. For the repair of this hostel, Chief Secretary Mr. Jena announced a grant of ₹10 lakhs.
The college authorities submitted a proposal for the completion of the half-constructed auditorium. It was also proposed to convert the auditorium into a badminton and tennis court, for which Mr. Jena expressed willingness to provide necessary funding.
On this occasion, Odia University Registrar Rashmirekha Das, Deputy Collector Bhaba Taran Sahu, Satyabadi Tehsildar Jayanta Kumar Jay Singh, BDO Lochan Das, Satyabadi Police Station IIC Bijay Ketan Behera, and officials from Odisha Bridge Construction Corporation were present.
