Tree Plantation at Devi River Embankment by Home Minister Tusharkanti Behera
Kakatpur, 8/9 – On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of BJD, a tree plantation program was organized today at the Devi River embankment by the Biju Yuba Chhatra Janata Dal of Astaranga Block, Puri District. Local MLA and State Home Minister Tusharkanti Behera, along with Puri Zilla Parishad Vice Chairman Swadhin Kumar Nayak, participated in the event as chief guests and planted saplings.
Following this, members of the Biju Chhatra Janata Dal planted over 600 saplings along the Devi River embankment and at Borei Danda in Naiguan. Minister Behera expressed that this initiative would help strengthen the Devi River embankment, while Vice Chairman Nayak stated that a rural forest could be created at Borei Danda in Naiguan.
The plantation drive was conducted under the leadership of Biju Yuba Chhatra Janata Dal President Prashant Nayak, Rudra Prasad Lenka, Bikash Tripathy, and Sushant Tripathy.
