White Heroin Seized, One Arrested, Bike Confiscated

Kakatpur, 8/9 – Kakatpur Police have arrested a white heroin dealer near Malamachha Chhak under Kakatpur Police Station in Puri district. Acting on a special tip-off, a team led by Kakatpur IIC (Inspector-in-Charge), including SI Priya Pradhan and constables Baburubahan Mohanty and Hrudananda Mishra, arrested the dealer on Friday morning.

The accused has been identified as Chandan Kumar Senapati. Police seized 10 grams and 400 milligrams of white heroin from him, along with a mobile phone and a Splendor Pro two-wheeler. A case has been registered under Section 20B of the NDPS Act at Kakatpur Police Station (Case No. 181/23), and the accused has been forwarded to court.

The estimated market value of the seized heroin is said to be around ₹1 lakh. With white heroin trade increasing in the Kakatpur area and luring many youths into a destructive path, the recent action by the new IIC of Kakatpur, Mr. Umesh Chandra Sahu, is being widely appreciated by the public.
