Annual Function Celebrated at Indipur Upper Primary School
Students Impress with Handicraft Skills

The annual function of Indipur Upper Primary School, located under Delanga Block of Puri district, was successfully celebrated in 2024.
The event was graced by Delanga Block Education Officer, Binod Pramanik, as the chief guest. Nihar Ranjan Swain was the keynote speaker, and other distinguished guests included local Sarpanch Smt. Pramila Senapati, Samiti Member Smt. Bhagyalaxmi Behera, Dr. Santosh Nayak, Tofan Nayak, Dhruba Charan Baral, Prasanna Patra, and educationist Lakshmiprasad Pani.
The celebration, presided over by Headmaster Bikram Kumar Patra, began with the guests being warmly welcomed by the students with traditional musical instruments and flower showers as they entered the school premises. The event formally commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and offering of incense and garlands before the idol of Lord Jagannath.
To set the tone, BEO Binod Pramanik captivated the audience with a melodious song followed by an inspiring and educational speech, engaging everyone present.
After the addresses by the dignitaries, meritorious students were honored and awarded for their excellence in academics, discipline, hygiene, punctuality, voluntary service, sports, and cultural achievements.
A highlight of the event was the creative paper flower craft by student Sili Baral, which won the admiration of all guests. She was awarded a cash prize of ₹500 for her skillful work.
Following this, the students performed various dance and musical programs, entertaining the audience with their talent. The grand finale of the event was a stage play titled “One Fist of Rice, One Rupee,” which captured the hearts of the audience through its powerful acting and meaningful message.
At the conclusion of the event, Headmaster Bikram Kumar Patra expressed his happiness and gratitude for the successful execution of the school’s first-ever annual function, made possible through personal effort and the support of parents. The event was coordinated by Singhari Alok Khuntia.
