Say No to Addiction, Shape Yourself – Anti-Addiction Awareness Program at Satyabadi High School

An anti-addiction awareness program titled “Say No to Addiction” was organized at Satyabadi High School. The event began with a tree plantation ceremony, garlanding of the Panchasakha (Five Saints), and a prayer at the bed of Utkalmani (Gopabandhu Das), marking a solemn and meaningful start to the program.
Among the dignitaries present were Dr. Brundaban Chandra Rath, retired principal of Utkalmani Smruti Mahavidyalaya; the respected Shubham Pradhan, BEO Satyabadi; Shri Smruti Shekhar Sahu, editor of Odisha Swasthyaseba Sangha, Bhubaneswar; Shri Nabaghan Shatapathi, editor of Bharat Bikash Parishad; Shri Charan Sahu and Shri Bijay Kumar Parida, retired educators; Ms. Harapriya Kar; Shri Manoranjan Mishra, Headmaster of Harachandi High School, Ganganarayanpur; Shri Manas Ranjan Pattnaik, Headmaster of Satyabadi High School; Shri Bishwaranjan Das, teacher; Shri Prashanta Kumar Tripathi of Bishwanathpur High School, Satyabadi; as well as faculty and students from City School.
During the event, students took an oath to remain addiction-free, to build addiction-free schools and families. They became aware of the harmful effects of addiction and pledged to say “no” to intoxicants. The guests expressed their views, stating that if students stay away from addiction, they can become valuable assets to the nation, contributing to building a prosperous country while shaping their own futures.
The program was a success thanks to the active support and coordination of all the teachers and staff of Satyabadi High School. Students also participated in a quiz competition as part of the awareness initiative and were awarded for their performance. The entire program was coordinated by Shri Ramesh Chandra Panda.
