Unite Through Blood, Not Just Interests
In the field of healthcare, the leading service organization Blood Donor Group is actively working to provide timely blood support to patients in need across various government and private hospitals in the state. By organizing blood donors into WhatsApp groups, the organization ensures quick arrangement of required blood. Beyond this, they visit rural areas of districts and the state to educate youth about the benefits of blood donation and encourage them to participate in this life-saving act.
The group also played a key role during pandemics like COVID-19 and outbreaks such as dengue, organizing blood donation camps to collect essential blood units and supply them to blood banks, marking a significant contribution.
For these efforts, during a program organized today by Jeevan Bindu at Teishipur, Pipili, the group’s chief coordinator Padma Lochan Mahapatra was honored with the Best Youth Organizer Award. The award was presented by distinguished guests including Agriculture Minister Ranendra Pratap Swain, local MLA Rudrapratap Maharathy, special guest Jagruti Maharathy, and District Council Member of Zone 24 Dharanidhar Sahu.
