A Day for Friends After 27 Long Years
Kakatpur — After a long gap since 1995, a heartfelt reunion of former students took place at the Sundari Kalyan Mandap in Nayahat. The event brought together old classmates to relive cherished memories of their teenage school days and to take a joyful break from their present, busy professional lives.
The reunion, held on January 15, 2023, to mark the New Year, was organized through the efforts and invitations of former students Manas Samal, Basudev Sahu, Sanjay Ray, Deepak Pal, and Amulya Sen, along with the support of several other classmates. Everyone arrived with their respective families, coming together to bridge the emotional distance between their youthful days and present lives.
The event began with a two-minute silent prayer in remembrance of those classmates and teachers who had sadly passed away, honoring their memory and praying for their eternal peace.
Though the marks of age were visible on everyone’s faces, the excitement of being reunited brought out their youthful spirits. They immersed themselves in the moment, dancing and enjoying to the rhythm of modern songs and music — a display that stood as an example for the students of future generations.
In the end, everyone shared their best wishes with one another and bid farewell with the hope of meeting again at a similar reunion in the coming year.
