25th Maa Tarini Cup: Jagatsinghpur Defeats Cuttack in Super Over Thriller
In Astarang, the 25th Maa Tarini Cup organized by Maa Tarini Sporting Club concluded with a thrilling victory for Jagatsinghpur over Cuttack at Choudhury Stadium. In the match held on Wednesday, Jatak Eleven from Cuttack batted first and scored 148 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
In response, SCS Jagatsinghpur also scored 148 runs, losing all wickets in 20 overs, resulting in a tie and leading to a Super Over. In the Super Over, Jagatsinghpur scored 20 runs losing 2 wickets, while Cuttack managed only 18 runs, thus conceding defeat.
Dipti Ranjan Biswal was declared the “Man of the Match” and awarded a trophy along with ₹1,000. The match was officiated by umpires Suresh Tripathy and Kumar Bapi, with Ramaranjan Mohanty serving as the third umpire.
