Knowledge Chariot Inaugurated by OCAC
Kakatpur, 31/03 – Kakatpur MLA and Minister of Electronics, Information Technology, Sports, Youth Services, and MSME, Tusharkanti Behera, inaugurated the OCAC Knowledge Chariot at the Mangala Temple in Naria Barai through a ceremonial lighting of the lamp.
The inauguration event of the Knowledge Chariot was held under the supervision of Shri Ashok Baral, Principal of Maa Mangala ITC (ITI). Among the dignitaries present were Puri Zilla Parishad Vice President Swadhin Nayak, former Zilla Parishad President Jyotirmayi Dalai, OCAC Puri District Coordinator Niranjan Mahapatra, as well as guardians, students, and senior leaders.
The Minister stated that the state government, under the leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, has been actively promoting digital literacy through OCAC-led awareness campaigns. He further emphasized that initiatives like Mission Shakti will help Self Help Groups (SHGs) evolve into SMEs in the future. He welcomed such innovative efforts by Maa Mangala ITC (ITI) in his constituency of Kakatpur.
Responding to questions from journalists, Shri Ashok Baral, Principal of Maa Mangala ITC (ITI), stated that their efforts to build a “Digital Kakatpur” would continue. He expressed confidence that this initiative would help unemployed youth become self-reliant. He also informed that the Knowledge Chariot would travel through regions like Bajpur, Kundhei, Anand Bazar, Nasikeshar, Patapur, and Othaka to spread awareness about digital literacy.
