Flirtatious Sanskrit Teacher Arrested; Misbehaved with Girl Student in the Name of Buying Books
A flirtatious Sanskrit teacher was arrested for his inappropriate behavior. He had asked a Class 9 girl student to accompany him on his motorcycle, saying he would buy her books. However, on the way, he misbehaved with her. After the minor reported the incident to her family, a complaint was lodged at the police station. He was immediately arrested under the POCSO Act and sent to jail.
The accused teacher is identified as Satyanarayan Nayak from Kanagaon in Khaprakhol block of Balangir district.
Satyanarayan Nayak was teaching Sanskrit and Literature at Yogimunda High School. During his tenure, he developed an inappropriate interest in a Class 9 girl student. He convinced her to come with him to Patnagarh to buy some books and took her on his bike.
Although there is a proper road from Yogimunda to Patnagarh, the teacher deliberately took a forest route. On the way, spotting a secluded area, he tried to misbehave with the girl in a deserted mango orchard. When the girl screamed, the teacher fled the scene.
After returning home, the girl narrated the entire incident to her family. The family then filed a written complaint at the Patnagarh police station. The police arrested the teacher, conducted a medical examination, and later produced him in the Balangir POCSO Court.
