New Inspector Ranjan Mallik Joins Kakatpur Police Station
Kakatpur, June 1: Ahead of the upcoming Rath Yatra, several police officers across different police stations in Puri district have been transferred. As per notification no. 1866 dated 28.05.2023 issued by the Superintendent of Police, Puri, Ranjan Kumar Mallik, the Inspector-in-Charge of Konark Police Station, has been transferred to Kakatpur Police Station.
During his four-year tenure at Konark, Mr. Mallik became widely respected for his effective law enforcement, involvement in social initiatives, and polite behavior. His courteous and balanced approach even helped in rehabilitating a few anti-social youths, guiding them toward the mainstream of society.
Following the news of his appointment at Kakatpur, locals—including the poor and labor-class citizens—have expressed hope that they will now receive fair and just treatment under his leadership.
In the same reshuffle, Priyaranjan Nayak, the outgoing Inspector of Kakatpur, has been transferred to Arehakuda Police Station, and Narayan Chandra Lenka, the Inspector of Ramchandi Police Station, has been transferred to Astaranga Police Station.
