Unity Day Observed by Odisha Gold and Silver Artisans’ Federation
With the cooperation of the Odisha Gold and Silver Artisans’ Federation, Unity Day was observed today at 8:00 AM in the Damodarpur Market of Chandanpur, in memory of the great leaders and intellectuals of the nation.
On this occasion, the Federation’s Treasurer Damodar Sahu hoisted the flag, assisted by Executive Treasurer Surendra Kumar Sahu, Sanjay Kumar Das, Shishir Kumar Sahu, Advisor Baman Charan Prusti, Brajabandhu Behera from Chashapada, Gopal Chandra Sahu and Bijay Kumar Sahu from Chandanpur, along with many goldsmiths from the surrounding areas.
Fifteen regional leaders joined the event, including D. Shibashankar Achari, President of the 15 Talukas, P. Birabhadra Achari, President of Brahmapur, and Tukubabu from Brahmagiri, who participated via video conference. They discussed various issues faced by artisans and proposed holding a joint meeting in the future to find possible solutions.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks.
