Meeting of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Minority Cell Workers Held in Kakatpur
Kakatpur, 11/9: A meeting of the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Minority Cell of the Kakatpur constituency was held at the local Khuntia Convention Hall under the chairmanship of cell coordinator Jitendra Nayak.
During the meeting, the participants strongly criticized the various corrupt practices of the state government, the alleged anti-Harijan policies of the central government, neglect towards farmers and agriculture, rising prices, and increasing atrocities against Harijans.
The attendees expressed serious concern that neither the state nor the central government is paying attention to these pressing issues. PCC coordinator Bankanidhi Behera stated that if these demands continue to be ignored, an appropriate response will be given in the upcoming elections.
Among others present at the meeting were: Sheikh Liyakat, President of the State Minority Cell; Congress leader Soumyakanta Khuntia; District Congress President Jayakrishna Pattnaik; PCC Vice President Bishwabhushan Das; Kakatpur Block Congress President Avadhuta Swain; Astaranga Block Congress President Sukanta Mahanti; former Kakatpur Block Congress President Rajkishore Sahu; former Kakatpur Block Chairman Bipin Bihari Mahanti; and Kakatpur Panchayat President Nalini Kanta Dixit.
All attendees voiced strong condemnation of the state government.
