Journalist’s Father Passes Away
Kakatpur, 1/11:
Rajkishore Das, father of senior member of Kakatpur Press Club and Kakatpur correspondent of Kanak News, Niranjan Das, passed away late last night at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar. This morning, his mortal remains were brought to his residence near Astaranga. Following this, the grieving family was joined by several local dignitaries and acquaintances, including Puri Zilla Parishad Vice President Swadhin Nayak, who came to pay their last respects.
His funeral was conducted at the village cremation ground, where his elder son Niranjan and younger son Suresh performed the last rites.
Rajkishore Das was a well-known, kind-hearted, soft-spoken, and devout man in the region. His demise has cast a shadow of sorrow across the Astaranga area.
Upon receiving the news, State Home Minister Tusharkanti Behera, Congress leader Bauribandhu Mohanty, and Kakatpur Press Club President Kamal Lochan Dixit extended their condolences to the bereaved family.
