Kakatpur (Tushar Dixit), 21/12: A beach cleanup initiative was conducted at the Singharapal beach under Kakatpur block by the Grameen Seba Charitable Trust, with the active participation of over a hundred students from Maa Batulei Pathshala and members of the trust. Due to the accumulation of various floating waste materials in the seawater, the cleanliness of the coast is often compromised, which in turn affects the scenic beauty of the beach.
Tourists, both local and from distant areas, frequently visit the beach to relax and enjoy their meals, often leaving behind litter. Like every year, a beach cleaning program was organized this year as well to maintain the natural cleanliness and beauty of Singharapal beach. Alongside the cleanup, discussions were held with local residents about environmental conservation and the importance of keeping beaches clean.
Thanks to the cooperation of Subrat Kumar Swain, the director of Maa Batulei Pathshala, the cleanup drive was a complete success. The Grameen Seba Trust expressed its gratitude and appreciation for his support. Given the enthusiastic participation of the students in this social service activity, the trust also distributed notebooks and sweet packets to the children as a token of encouragement.
In this context, the trust’s director Naresh Pati, along with Subrat Kumar Swain and other residents of the Kakatpur area, urged the state government to recognize Singharapal beach for its significance and ensure stronger measures for its protection and cleanliness.
