1,200 Liters of Illicit Liquor Seized from Canal Field in Sholahala Village
Satyabadi – 23/02/2024:
This morning, acting on a tip-off about the brewing and sale of country-made liquor in the canal-side fields of Sholahala village, a police team led by the Officer-in-Charge of Satyabadi Police Station conducted a raid with full force.
Upon noticing the arrival of police, the accused individuals fled the scene. However, at the site, the police discovered a large quantity of raw liquor, approximately 1,200 liters stored in plastic containers, along with other associated materials used in liquor production such as urea fertilizer, jaggery, and fermentation pots.
All the seized illicit liquor (pocha) was destroyed on the spot. A case has been registered against the individuals involved, and an investigation is underway, according to official sources.
