Utkal Dibasa Celebrated at NTPC Kaniha with Great Fervor
Kaniha, 01.04.24 – (Singhari Alok Khuntia): The Utkal Dibasa celebration 2024 was held with grandeur at the NTPC Kaniha campus. On this occasion, NTPC Kaniha CGM Mr. Ashok Kumar Sehegal, along with Tanvi Sangam Mahila Club President Mrs. Renu Sehegal and other senior officials, inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp and offering floral tributes before the idol of Lord Jagannath and portraits of Odisha’s great sons.
Following this, the audience joined in a collective rendition of the Utkal Song.
Though the chief guest Mr. Sehegal is a non-Odia, he delivered his entire speech in Odia, winning the hearts of everyone present.
Winners of the traditional Odia Pitha (sweets) competition, organized by Tanvi Sangam Mahila Club, were felicitated and awarded prizes.
The main highlight of the celebration was a vibrant showcase of Odisha’s rich art and culture.
From Singhari Entertainment, Puri, cultural performances were presented, including Odissi dance, Gotipua dance, Baramasi folk dance, and Sambalpuri folk dance.
Artists from Abhinayana Dance Academy, led by Guru Rozalin Sundaray and her troupe, mesmerized the audience with high-quality Odissi and Baramasi dance performances, earning widespread appreciation.
The entire event was anchored by Rashmiranjan Behera, a member of Tanvi Sangam Mahila Club, and coordinated by Singhari Alok Khuntia.
