Ganesh Bazaar Shut Down Following Businessman’s Death

Nrusinha Charan Nayak, a prominent sweet shop owner of Ganesh Bazaar in Kakatpur, passed away early this morning at around 7 AM due to a heart attack. Around that time, he began experiencing chest pain, prompting his family members to rush him to the nearby Sai Hospital for treatment. Seeing the critical nature of his condition, the attending doctor advised that he be shifted to Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar for advanced treatment. However, according to family sources, he passed away en route to Bhubaneswar.
The late Nayak had been successfully running a sweet business in Ganesh Bazaar, Kakatpur, for over forty years, earning significant popularity. He was well-known in the region for his soft-spoken nature, charitable disposition, and religious beliefs. His sudden demise cast a shadow of grief over the entire area.
After his mortal remains arrived in Kakatpur Bazaar, hundreds of well-wishers, relatives, fellow businessmen, and members of the Ganesh Bazaar Business Association paid their last respects. Among those present were Association President Kamal Lochan Dixit, Advisor Tushar Ranjan Dixit, Secretary Manas Dixit, Treasurer Bidhu Bhushan Das, Nakul Sahu, Baidhar Sahu, Achyut Bishoi, Badal Sahu, Soumyaranjan Dash, prominent businessman Gyan Ranjan Sahu, Pradeepta Kumar Dixit, Ashok Kumar Dixit, Debaraj Dixit, and Abhaya Kumar Swain, among others. They offered floral tributes to the departed soul.
Subsequently, his body was taken in a grand funeral procession to his native village, Tiruna, where the final rites were performed at the village cremation ground. His elder son Nirakar, younger son Niranjan, and younger brother Surendra performed the last rites.
In mourning and respect for his demise, all business establishments in Ganesh Bazaar remained closed today.
