Body of Missing Youth Recovered from Devi River

On Tuesday evening, Ashish Kumar Senapati, a 25-year-old youth from Edbansha village under Talada Panchayat in Astaranga block, went to the bank of the Devi River to relieve himself but did not return. Upon realizing his disappearance, villagers searched in various locations and informed the Kakatpur Fire Department.
The fire brigade arrived at the spot and conducted a search operation, but despite prolonged efforts, they were unable to locate the youth. However, around 11:00 AM today, news came that an unidentified body of a young man was found in the river near Dhanubelari close to Marichipur in Jagatsinghpur district.
Upon receiving the information, Ashish’s family members reached the spot and identified the deceased as Ashish Senapati. The Marine Police from the Bhandar area in Jagatsinghpur district arrived at the scene and have started an investigation into the incident.
Ashish’s elder brother, Adarsha Kumar Senapati, confirmed the identity and informed the media about the tragic development.
