New Committee Formed for Appointment of Maa Mangala Temple Sevayats

Today, the nomination process for new members of the Sevayat Appointment Committee of Maa Mangala, the presiding deity of Kakatpur, was conducted. As per the tradition, every three years, new members are selected from different sahis (localities). Two members each are nominated from Bada Sahi, Puru Dikshit Sahi, Mahapatra Sahi, and Panda Sahi, while one member is chosen from Das Padhia Sahi.
With the term of the previous committee having come to an end, the election of the new committee took place peacefully and in an orderly manner. The process was conducted under the direct supervision of senior citizens of Kakatpur—Eshwar Chandra Dixit, Ramesh Chandra Dixit, Sudarshan Dixit, and Kedar Nath Dixit—who guided the election officers in the smooth nomination and transition of responsibilities.
From Bada Sahi, Kamal Lochan Dixit and Santosh Kumar Dixit were nominated. From Puru Dikshit Sahi, Himanshu Bhushan Dixit and Tushar Ranjan Dixit were selected. From Panda Sahi, Manoranjan Panda and Mangal Panda were nominated, while from Mahapatra Sahi, Pavitra Kumar Dixit and Pradeepta Kumar Dixit were chosen. From Das Padhia Sahi, Sukanta Kumar Das was unanimously nominated as a member.
The responsibilities of election officers were carried out by Pitabas Dixit, Anil Kumar Dixit, Debaraj Dixit, and Prabhat Kumar Dixit. All the sevayats of the village extended their full cooperation in organizing the event successfully. Former committee president Manoranjan Panda informed that the selection of the new office-bearers of the committee will be conducted within the next seven days.
