Farmer Collapses in the Field After Seeing Crops Destroyed by Unseasonal Rain
Unable to bear the sight of his golden paddy crop ruined by continuous unseasonal rainfall, a farmer tragically lost his life in the field. Purnachandra Dalai (aged 75) of Biramchandrapur village in Satyabadi, Puri district, collapsed and passed away in his paddy field.
The entire village is now engulfed in grief and sorrow. The family is devastated—how will they cope now, having cultivated their paddy crop with loans and debts? The entire area is blanketed in mourning.
Just hours earlier, he had spent the morning happily with his family. But within a few short hours, his life came to an end. The evening’s heavy rain submerged his paddy field, washing away his entire crop and leaving the land destroyed.
