Through Tree Plantation, Players Convey the Message “Trees Are Life” to the Youth

On the occasion of the 76th Republic Day, a cricket tournament and tree plantation program were organized on the grounds of Indipur College in Indipur village under Satyabadi Police Station and Delanga Block. The event saw participation from eight cricket teams, and alongside the tournament, a tree plantation initiative was carried out with the support of all participating players

In collaboration with Sambhabana Seva Parishad, the players were provided with saplings of deodar, amlaki (Indian gooseberry), and bakul (Spanish cherry). These trees were planted by the players in the premises of the college, schools, and health centers, spreading a vital message to the younger generation—“Trees Are Life.”
Distinguished guests for the event included Shri Ramesh Chandra Parida, Shri Amara Chhatoi, and Shri Pavitra Kumar Muduli. Out of the eight participating teams, two advanced to the finals. The team from Dahana Kumharpada emerged victorious, defeating the team from Gudu Paika, and won a cash prize of ₹2000.
