Celebration of the 103rd Sakshigopal Arrival Memorial Festival of Sri Sri Thakur Anukulchandra
Date: 28/01/2025, Sakshigopal:
Today, under the auspices of the Sakshigopal Satsang Bihar and with the cooperation of regional Satsang members and volunteers, the deeply devotional 103rd Sakshigopal Arrival and the 17th Annual Temple Inauguration Memorial Festival of Sri Sri Thakur Anukulchandra was celebrated. The early morning rituals began with Vedic chanting, followed by Usha Kirtan (dawn hymns), Usha Binati (morning prayers), and scripture recitations. This was followed by a grand procession around the town with Sri Sri Thakur’s chariot, which had arrived from Puri.
Prior to the main Satsang, a devotional music program (Bhajananjali) was organized under the guidance of the Satsang Bihar. After that, a formal Satsang session was conducted with sacred rituals led by Ritwik Sriyukta Damburudhara Das. Approximately over 2,000 devotees participated in the festival.
Following the prayer of supplication in the Satsang, Suresh Bhai delivered a discourse on “Path of Truthfulness” (Satyānusaraṇa). Later, the commemorative souvenir “Tapodīpāli” was unveiled.
Subsequently, bhajans (devotional songs) were presented by Minakumari Ma, Prasanna Kumar Nayak, Shashwati, Gayatri Ma, and Bandana Ma. A choral performance was led by Ritwik Sriyukta Bairagi Charan Sahu, followed by kirtan offered by Sri Bindusagar Ganguly. The bhajans, kirtans, and chorus performances in the Satsang were deeply enchanting.
Later, Ritwik Sriyukta Niranjan Behera gave the introductory address. The chief speakers—Ritwik Sriyukta Sridharsundar Mishra, Sriyukta Hrusikesha Senapati, and Sri Sukanta Kumar Nayak—shared their spiritual experiences and inspired everyone to walk on the path shown by Thakur.
Finally, Ritwik Sriyukta Bairagi Charan Sahu performed a spiritual song known as “Chhadaragaan” and Sri Prahlad Ghatuari concluded the session with the chant “Bande Purushottama.” Thus, the Satsang event came to an end. A special enthusiasm toward Satsang was observed among the devotees. After the event, the devotees partook in prasad at Anand Bazaar and returned to their homes with the spiritual essence of Sri Sri Thakur in their hearts.
The celebration was supported by dedicated workers of the Satyabadi Satsang Kendra, including Radheshyam Mishra, Udayanath Mishra, Harekrushna Mahanti, Nagen Kumar Mahanti, Prahlad Ghatuari, Bhramara Swain, Shishira Mishra, Durgaprasad Pati, Bijaya Biswal, Shishira Parida, Sudarshan Mahapatra, Dilip Mishra, Apindra Swain, Harihara Nanda, and Purnachandra Barala.
