Branch Manager’s Behavior Upsets Customer
Kakatpur, 12/3 (Tushar Dixit): Customers have expressed dissatisfaction with the behavior of the Branch Manager of the State Bank of India, located in Kakatpur. Despite repeated complaints in the past, higher authorities have remained silent on the matter. A few days ago, a formal complaint against the branch manager was sent to senior banking officials by post. However, it is reported that the complaint, filed by a government employee, was suppressed.
Most recently, another incident has come to light involving a customer named Jitendra Nayak, who has filed a complaint at the Kakatpur police station, alleging misbehavior by the branch manager. According to the complaint, Mr. Nayak visited the State Bank of India’s Kakatpur branch around 10 a.m. the previous day to inquire about an emergency loan against a fixed deposit. While waiting near the Field Officer’s desk, he was informed of a delay. As a result, he proceeded to the Branch Manager’s office to speak directly with him.
Unexpectedly, the branch manager became angry and allegedly misbehaved with Mr. Nayak, instructing him to leave the office immediately. This behavior left Mr. Nayak deeply hurt. The incident raises serious questions: if a branch manager treats a common citizen poorly and no action is taken even after informing higher authorities, then who is to be held accountable?
Today, Mr. Nayak submitted a written complaint at the Kakatpur police station. Inspector Umesh Kumar Sahu has confirmed the receipt of the complaint and stated that an investigation into the matter has begun. The public now awaits to see when and what action will be taken.
