The meeting of the National Steering Committee of the Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas was held

Puri – 12/10/2025 – The meeting of the National Steering Committee of the Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas was held at the Central Sanskrit University, Shri Sadashiv Campus, Puri (Odisha) on October 12, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM. The esteemed guests formally inaugurated the meeting with the lighting of a lamp. Professor Prabhat Kumar Mohapatra, Director of the Central Sanskrit University, Shri Sadashiv Campus, Puri, welcomed and greeted the guests and introduced them to the work of the Central Sanskrit University.

Mr. Vishwaranjan Mishra, State Coordinator of the Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Trust, Odisha, along with Mr. Hemant Jena, Co-ordinator, and Dr. Vikas Kumar welcomed the guests on stage by presenting them with shawls and a picture of Lord Jagannath. Dr. Pankaj Mittal, Chairperson of the Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Trust, highlighted the Trust’s work and activities. The inaugural session of the meeting featured a symposium on “Indian Knowledge Tradition in the Context of the National Education Policy 2020,” with Mr. Suraj Suryavanshi, Minister of Higher Education, Government of Odisha, as the Chief Guest, and Mr. Sampad Chandra Swain, Minister of Skill and Technical Education, Government of Odisha, as the Special Guest. Speaking as the keynote speaker, Dr. Atul Kothari, National Secretary of the Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Trust, highlighted the importance of the National Education Policy 2020, emphasizing the need for the Indian Knowledge Tradition, and asserted that this historic education policy, if implemented properly, is undoubtedly capable of laying the foundation for a developed India. Highlighting the importance of the Sanskrit language, he explained: He stressed on the need for its proper implementation in Odisha state and said that just as the Trust has been working in collaboration with the government and education department of Madhya Pradesh on the implementation of National Education Policy 2020 and Indian knowledge tradition, in the same way it is ready to do the same in Odisha and wherever there is a need the Trust will be engaged in this work. In the end, senior Acharya of Central Sanskrit University, Shri Sadashiv Campus, Puri, Prof. Lalit Kumar Sahu, thanked all the guests present on the stage, senior workers of the Trust, educationists and students, researchers from all over the country present in the auditorium, first in Sanskrit and later in Odia language.
