Iftar Party Organized by Congress Party in Kakatpur
Kakatpur, 15/4 – During the ongoing holy month of Ramadan, an Iftar party was organized by the Kakatpur Block Congress Committee at the local Khuntia Mandap, under the leadership of Block Congress President Avadhut Swain. The event brought together both Muslim and Hindu brothers in a spirit of harmony and brotherhood.
Bishwabhushan Das, General Secretary of the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee, attended the event as the chief guest, along with Kakatpur Panchayat Chairman Nalini Kant (Philu) Dixit, Sukanta Parida, Baisidhara Mahanti, and Arakshita Kandi.
Other notable participants included Sheikh Gayas, Mirza Rajab Ali, Sheikh Atiur Rehman, Sheikh Himayat, Alim Khan, Mohammad Majid, Sheikh Izrail Khan, Sheikh Kayamat, Sheikh Liaqat, Rasan Khan, Aini Uddin Khan, Murajja Khan, Sarabar Khalik, Furkan Khan, Mirza Israfil Beg, Tabarak Khan, and Sheikh Tahir, among others. The gathering witnessed warm embraces between Hindu and Muslim attendees, symbolizing mutual love and communal unity.
More than a hundred Muslim brothers from various panchayats including Lataharan, Katakana, Bhandaghar, Suhagpur, and Suhanpur participated in the event, making it a vibrant expression of interfaith brotherhood in the Kakatpur Block.
