Satyabadi Loses Another Brave Son; Devashish Bishwal Sacrifices His Life for the Motherland
Satyabadi Block’s Alagum Panchayat has lost a brave soul, Devashish Bishwal, who laid down his life for the nation. The entire region mourns the irreplaceable loss of this hero from Khandayat Sahi of Alagum.
The tragic incident occurred in the Rajouri region of Jammu & Kashmir, where terrorists launched a sudden grenade attack on an army vehicle passing through the Bhimber Gali–Poonch route. Devashish was among the five jawans of the Rashtriya Rifles who were martyred in the ambush. One severely injured soldier was rescued and rushed to the nearest Army Hospital.
Devashish Bishwal was the son of Pratap Bishwal and Mamta Bishwal. He was married to Sushree Sangeeta Bishwal in 2021 on the auspicious day of Akshaya Tritiya. The couple has a seven-month-old daughter.
The attack took place while the army vehicle was on its way through the Bhimber Gali–Poonch route. Taking advantage of heavy rain and low visibility, the terrorists launched a surprise grenade assault on the army convoy. Following the attack, additional forces arrived on the scene and have begun a massive counter-terrorist operation in the area.
