5T Secretary VK Pandian Attacked with Ink in Satyabadi
Today, during his visit to Satyabadi, 5T Secretary VK Pandian faced an unexpected incident. At around 2 PM, after reaching the sports ground of Utkalmani Smruti Mahavidyalaya, where a public meeting was scheduled, a local resident suddenly threw black ink from a bottle at him while he was on his way to the event venue. The ink splashed across Pandian’s face and body, and also stained the District Collector and nearby security personnel.
The person behind the attack has been identified as Bhaskar Chandra Sahu from Kanas Adal Panchayat. He had contested as an independent candidate for the post of Sarpanch in 2019 but lost, and is currently working as an LIC agent. The incident has drawn sharp condemnation from local BJD leaders and the general public of Satyabadi.
Following the incident, VK Pandian wiped off the ink from his face and clothes and proceeded to attend the public meeting. There, he personally interacted with the public and received various petitions and grievances.
He was warmly welcomed by the crowd with cheers, slogans of “Haribol Hulhuli,” and applause. During his speech, he announced that development work would soon begin at the historic Bakul Bana Temple in Satyabadi, and that classes would commence at the Odia University within the next two months. He assured everyone that the petitions submitted today would be addressed soon and mentioned that the Chief Minister would deliver good news to the people within the next seven days.
