1990 Batch Reunion of Kakatpur High School Held with Heartfelt Memories

A heartwarming reunion of the 1990 batch of Kakatpur High School was recently held at the Moti Mandap in Kakatpur, bringing together former students to relive their cherished school days. The gathering was filled with emotional exchanges as attendees reminisced about their teachers, classroom experiences, and childhood friendships.
The event began with a two-minute silent tribute in memory of classmates and teachers who had passed away. Participants then shared old stories from school life, including light-hearted moments of being punished by teachers, skipping classes, and other mischievous childhood tales. Many reflected on how the teaching approach and respect for teachers then differed from today.
There were also discussions on how government grants are being used in education and the evolving role of current teachers. The gathering included conversations about their children, professional lives, and a shared desire to keep the spirit of this reunion alive annually.
The reunion was attended by over 40 former classmates, including Nalini Kanta Dixit, Manas Kumar Dixit, Kamala Lochan Dixit, Soumyakanta Khuntia, Dillip Kumar Baral, Debendra Swain, Debashis Mohanty, Maheswar Behara, Sheikh Hasan, Jitendra Mohanty, Yuganta Narayan Tripathy, Sudarshan Sahoo, Dhirendra Chand, and others. Despite most of them now being over 50, the enthusiasm and emotional connection remained as youthful as ever. Everyone unanimously agreed to continue this annual tradition in the coming years.
