Unique Eleven Bhadrak Defeats Crown Sporting Bhubaneswar to Reach Finals of State-Level Mangala Cup
Kakatpur (Tushar Dixit) | Dated 29/12/23 – In the 34th State-Level Mangala Cup Cricket Tournament being held at Kakatpur Mini Stadium, the first semi-final match took place between Crown Sporting (Bhubaneswar) and Unique Eleven (Bhadrak).
Winning the toss, Bhadrak chose to bowl first. Crown Sporting, batting for the full 25 overs, managed to score 134 runs. From the team, Amitabh Raut was the top scorer with 42 runs off 49 balls.
In response, Unique Eleven Bhadrak successfully chased the target in 20.5 overs, losing only 2 wickets, and secured their place in the tournament final. Star performer Tapas Raut scored a century (100 runs off 72 balls) and was awarded Man of the Match.
Distinguished guests at the event included Bhaskar Jena, Branch Manager of Odisha Gramya Bank; Rakesh Pattnaik, Advisor of Mangala Club; and Maheshwar Swain, Proprietor of JK Medicine Store. They presented the awards to the outstanding players.
The match was officiated by umpires Nirmal Kumar Mishra and Ayesh Kant Mishra.
As announced by Club President Pradipta Dixit, the second semi-final will be held tomorrow between Rameswar Sporting (Bhubaneswar) and Juvenile Sporting (Cuttack).
Other officials present and involved in managing the match included Secretary Shubhranshu Dixit, Manager Bhagabat Swain, Sanjay Samal, Akshay Mohanty, Treasurer Er. Suryakant Dixit, Sushanta Das, Dhiren Chand, Shyam Sundar Rana, and several other members.
