Satyabadi’s Daughter Jayanti Behera Wins Double Gold at World Para Athletics

Jayanti Behera, a para-athlete from Satyabadi, has brought glory to the nation by winning gold medals in both the 200-meter and 400-meter sprint events at the 2022 World Para Athletics Championship being held in Portugal.

Competing against over 400 athletes from 30 countries, Jayanti had earlier secured a silver medal in the 100-meter race. Now, with her gold-winning performances in the 200 and 400-meter sprints, she has not only created new records but also brought immense pride to India, Odisha, and the Satyabadi region.

Expressing happiness over her outstanding performance at this international event, her coach Mr. Bishnu Prasad Mishra extended his heartfelt congratulations and gratitude to Jayanti Behera for her achievements.
