Two-Day Inter-School Boys’ and Girls’ Kabaddi Tournament Held at Puri Zilla School with Support from Neeta Football Academy and Puri District School Sports Zone
Today, a two-day inter-school boys’ and girls’ kabaddi tournament was organized at Puri Zilla School, jointly supported by Neeta Football Academy and the Puri District School Sports Zone.
In the boys’ category final match, Puri Zilla School defeated Balagandi High School to become champions, while in the girls’ category, another team from Puri Zilla School emerged as champions by defeating the Neeta Kabaddi Team.
The prize distribution ceremony and closing event were graced by several dignitaries including former Vice-Chancellor of Shri Jagannath Sanskrit University, Professor Harihar Hota; District Sports Officer, Shri Chandan Kumar Sahu; former Secretary of the Puri Bar Association, Advocate Sharada Prasad Samal; Secretary of the Puri Zilla School Alumni Association, Shri Ravi Narayan Sahu; alumnus Shri Santosh Kumar Sahu; and the Headmistress of Puri Zilla School, Smt. Jyotirmayee Mishra.
Many former senior kabaddi players also attended the event as guests, encouraging the players and contributing to the success of the event.
The tournament was conducted under the supervision of Physical Education Teacher Shri Sadashiv Sahu. Key figures from Neeta Football Academy, including President Shri Ram Nayak, Secretary Advocate Satyabrata Sadangi, coaches Jitendra Kumar Behera and Abhimanyu Satapathy, Dr. Kumar Arojyajyoti, Shefali Pati, and Gayatri Sethi, were present and contributed to the smooth conduct of the program.
The celebration meeting was anchored by teacher Shri Bidyadhar Mishra, who also gave the vote of thanks at the end of the event.
