‘Surabhi 2024’ Celebrated at Regional Resource Centre in Grameswar

‘Surabhi 2024’ was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the Bishwanath Regional Resource Centre in Grameswar, under Kanas Block. A total of 147 students from 11 schools participated in this grand cultural event. The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Headmistress Rosaline Sethi. CRCC Banamali Behera presented the theme and objectives of the Surabhi event. Several teachers including Prashanta Kumar Mangaraj, Siddheswar Behera, Suresh Sahu, Vaishnava Kodamasingh, Sadashiva Baliyarsingh, Mamata Behera, Sukanta Behera, and Bijay Pattnaik were present and contributed to the smooth conduct of the event.
The event featured extensive discussions on folk art and local culture, aiming to encourage and preserve traditional values among the students. In the senior division, participants who excelled in various competitions such as debate, elocution, essay writing, drawing, quiz, creative writing, and music were selected to represent the centre at the block level. Similarly, in the junior division, students showed remarkable performance in elocution, drawing, quiz, creative writing, music, and handwriting, qualifying them for the next level of the competition.
Additionally, in the PM Poshan category, Lokanath Palei was selected, while Rohan Mangaraj stood out in the art and crafts segment. In the cultural segment, Grameswar Bishwanath Nodal High School was nominated to represent the block. The entire celebration of Surabhi 2024 created a vibrant and joyous atmosphere among the children, who participated with great enthusiasm and energy, making the event truly memorable.
