New IIC Rajesh Baliyarsingh Takes Charge at Astaranga Police Station; Warm Welcome by Astaranga Media Forum
Kakatpur, 26/8 – Young police officer Rajesh Baliyarsingh officially assumed charge today as the new Inspector-in-Charge (IIC) of Astaranga Police Station in Puri district. Upon taking charge, he was warmly welcomed by members of the Astaranga Media Forum, including Forum President Pramod Das, Vice President Bipin Das, Advisors Prasar Khuntia and Kamal Lochan Dixit, Tushar Ranjan Dixit, Sanjay Pati, Bijay Kumar Behera, Tulu Behera, Anil Barik, Prakash Behera, Binod Sethy, Manas Khandual, Bhagabat Swain, Aditya Raut, along with all the staff members of the police station.
Astaranga Police Station holds significant importance in Puri district. As such, the new IIC, Mr. Baliyarsingh, is expected to face multiple challenges. Notably, due to the religious significance of Maa Mangala’s shrine in Kakatpur and the tourist spots such as Jahania and Gangadevi in Astaranga that attract visitors from across the state, along with the area’s growing population, there are key issues that require attention. These include resolving traffic problems, curbing the illegal trade of narcotics and alcohol, and maintaining law and order.
In his response, the young IIC Mr. Baliyarsingh stated that immediate steps would be taken in all these areas.
