Ma Mangala Yatra Parivar Nataka Performance
Kakatpur – As in previous years, the Ma Mangala Yatra Parivar of Prachivihar, Kakatpur, hosted a two-day grand drama festival this year as well. The inaugural ceremony was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Manas Barik. Chief Guest was Sri Binod Bihari Behura, Principal of Mangala College, with other distinguished guests including Kamala Lochan Dixit, President of Kakatpur Press Club and senior journalist; Abhaya Sethy, Sarpanch of Kakatpur; former Block Chairman Bipin Bihari Mahanti; Sangram Chatoi, Odia Lecturer at Mangala College; Lalatendu Swain, Political Science Lecturer; and teacher-leader and poet Hrudananda Sasmal. The guests highlighted that using theatre to raise awareness about harmful societal customs and to guide misguided youth back to the mainstream is a commendable approach.
Artists of the Yatra Parivar including Manas, Jatin, Chagala, Pradesh, Murali, Anjana, and Maina performed two plays: the first night’s drama “Man Kinilela Kalanagara” and the second night’s “Rangila Radhika Rajani Gandha,” both directed by Dhruvacharan Khuntia. These plays received great praise from the audience.
