Thousands of Devotees Visit Maa Mangala on New Year
Kakatpur, 1/1 (Tushar Dixit): On the occasion of the English New Year, thousands of devotees gathered to have a glimpse of the presiding deity of Kakatpur, Maa Mangala. On the first day of the new year, devotees offered prayers and sought blessings from the Goddess, wishing for happiness and prosperity throughout the year.
From 3 a.m., rituals began with the Mangala Arati, followed by ceremonial bathing and adorning the Goddess with new clothes and jewelry. After the offering of Ballava and Pahili Bhoga, the sanctum was opened for public darshan. Devotees lined up in queues to have a glimpse of the deity.
The temple was beautifully decorated with flowers at all four gates. Under the supervision of Kakatpur IIC Umesh Chandra Sahu, strict security arrangements were made to ensure the safety of the devotees.
