35th State-Level Mangala Cup: Rameswar Sporting enters the final defeating Juvenile Sporting

Today marked the second semifinal match of the State-Level Mangala Cricket Cup. Juvenile Sporting, Cuttack, won the toss and opted to bat first. In the allotted 25 overs, they scored 125 runs losing 8 wickets. From Rameswar Sporting, Ashutosh Nayak and Biswajit Mallik each took two wickets.
In reply, Rameswar Sporting chased the target successfully in 21 overs losing 6 wickets, thereby securing a place in the final. From the team, Abhishek Nath played a key role scoring 40 runs off 36 balls and was declared the Man of the Match.
The final match is scheduled to be held on January 5 between Rameswar Sporting, Bhubaneswar and Alpha Sporting, Brahmapur, as announced by the organizing club’s president Pradeepta Kumar Dixit.
In today’s match, the chief guest was Sumitra Ghosh, Director of Jahan Public School, Kakatpur, and Aditya Kumar Raut, Editor of Kakatpur Press Club and senior member of the Blood Donation Service Camp and Gopabandhu Youth Organization. They jointly presented the Man of the Match award.
The match was officiated by two senior umpires of the Odisha Cricket Association — Nirmal Kumar Mishra and Ayas Kanta Mishra. Commentary was provided by Anjan Kumar Dixit, an advisor of Mangala Cricket Club, and Bhavani Behera.
Organizing support was extended by the club’s secretary Shubhranshu Dixit, treasurer Eng. Suryakanta Dixit, Shyam Sundar Rana, Sushanta Das, Sanjay Samal, Kunal Das, and pitch curator Dhiren Chand, among others.
